MPCVD Lab-Grown Diamonds
MPCVD (Microwave Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition) is the gold standard for growing lab-grown diamonds. We operate our own MPCVD reactors in-house — giving us full control over quality, size, color, and shape. No middleman, no compromise.
What Is MPCVD Diamond Growth?
MPCVD is a diamond synthesis technique that uses microwave radiation to create a plasma ball inside a vacuum chamber. Carbon-containing gases (typically methane and hydrogen) are introduced, and the plasma breaks down the carbon bonds, allowing diamond crystals to grow on a substrate.
The result is a Type IIA lab-grown diamond — the purest form of diamond, with no nitrogen or boron impurities. Type IIA diamonds are the most valued and rare even among mined diamonds, prized for their exceptional clarity and lack of color.
Unlike other lab-grown methods (HPHT), MPCVD produces diamonds with significantly fewer inclusions and more consistent quality — which is why we use it exclusively.
MPCVD vs. HPHT
HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) mimics natural diamond formation but can introduce metal catalysts that cause inclusions. MPCVD grows diamonds at lower pressure, resulting in cleaner stones.
Type IIA Certification
All our MPCVD diamonds are Type IIA certified by IGI (International Gemological Institute). Type IIA is the highest purity grade — less than 2% of mined diamonds achieve this classification.
Custom Shapes
MPCVD allows us to grow diamonds in shapes beyond standard rounds — including custom geometries needed for bespoke deal toy designs.
